On February 2nd, 2023, 4th and 5th grade students at Longview Public Schools went to the Southwest Washington Symphony's Children's Concert at the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts. This concert provided a time capsule of the different kinds of music that were popular during the founding of the City of Longview in 1923 as a celebration for the City of Longview's Centennial year!
On February 2nd, 2023, 4th and 5th grade students at Longview Public Schools went to the Southwest Washington Symphony's Children's Concert at the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts. This concert provided a time capsule of the different kinds of music that were popular during the founding of the City of Longview in 1923 as a celebration for the City of Longview's Centennial year!
This concert included not only music from the 1920's, but also dances, a guest pianist and a viewing of a Charlie Chaplin film with musical accompaniment.
